Broncos activate G Austin Schlottmann from Reserve/COVID-19 list, designate ILB Micah Kiser for return

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — The Broncos have activated security guard Austin Schlottmann from the Reserve/COVID-19 list, the team announced on Wednesday.

Denver also designated linebacker Micah Kiser for the injured reserve’s return and signed guard Zack Johnson to the practice squad.

The Broncos are getting a temporary roster release for Schlottmann, so he won’t immediately count towards the team’s 53-man roster.

Schlottmann has been on the Reserve/COVID-19 list since Friday, November 12. Head Coach Vic Fangio announced earlier that Schlottmann has been vaccinated and tested positive for the virus.

The Broncos previously placed Kiser on the injured reserve following the team’s Thursday night game against the Browns. Kiser is eligible to practice with the team and the Broncos have 21 days to activate him for the 53-man roster.

Kiser played in five games for the Broncos this year, recording six tackles.

Johnson, a two-time FCS All-American from the state of North Dakota, has spent time with the Packers and Cardinals during his brief NFL career. He has not yet appeared in a regular season game.
