COVID-19 exposure warning issued after arts and crafts fair

INDEPENDENCE, Mo. – Anyone who attended the Best Little Arts & Crafts Show in Independence should check themselves for COVID-19 symptoms and consider getting tested, the city said.

The City of Independence said it learned Wednesday afternoon that at least two people attending the event had tested positive for COVID-19. Health experts warn anyone who attended the event may have been exposed to the virus.

The Arts and Crafts Show was held at the Sermon Center on November 19 and 20.

Those who attended the show are encouraged to undergo COVID-19 testing within seven days. Tests are available at most local pharmacies, urgent care centers and doctor’s offices.
