“Taiwan has no status in international law other than as part of China.

“We urge the US to adhere to the One China Principle and the three joint China-US communiqués, to stop providing any platform to Taiwan’s independence forces or to strengthen and encourage of it.

“Those offering platforms to ‘Taiwan independence’ forces will be in an embarrassing place.

“Those who play with fire with Taiwan’s independence forces will eventually be burned,” he concluded.

There are 110 participants on the U.S. State Department’s invitation list for the virtual event on December 9 and 10.

China or Russia are not on the list of invitees.
