CATSKILL-COVID-19 claimed its 84th victim in Greene County on Tuesday, when a local woman with serious co-morbidities died from the coronavirus.
The unidentified 39-year-old woman had not been vaccinated at the time of her death, according to the Greene County Public Health Department. No further information was available about the victim, Greene County administrator Shaun Groden.
As of Nov. 24, 64 percent of adults in Greene County have received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine.
According to the Ministry of Health, there are 221 active positive cases of COVID-19 in the province, with 92 new positive cases as of Nov. 20.
A total of 350 residents of the province are in quarantine, and 20 people in the province have been hospitalized with COVID-related illnesses.
As of Nov. 23, the county’s total percentage of cases with positive results stands at 9.9 percent, with a seven-day positive rate in Greene County at 4.6 percent.
