HANCOCK COUNTY – The county reported another COVID-19 death this week, bringing the total to 184.
According to information from the Indiana Department of Health, the victim was a woman in her 70s who died on Nov. 19.
The seven-day moving average of COVID-19 cases in Hancock County was 44 on Wednesday, the last day of the week the state’s new coronavirus data dashboard would be updated until after the Thanksgiving holiday weekend. The average trended downward in October, reaching a low of 14, before rising again this month. Indiana’s seven-day moving average reflects a similar trend.
The county’s state-assigned COVID-19 advisory level, which is reviewed every Wednesday, remains orange, the second most severe.
