Amari Cooper was fined $14,650 by the NFL for violating the league’s COVID-19 policy. According to ESPN’s Todd ArcherCooper has violated policy after not wearing a mask as an unvaccinated player to a game at Dallas Mavericks. Under league policy, unvaccinated players are allowed to attend sporting events as long as they wear a mask, are in a luxury suite, and are not surrounded by more than 10 people.

The cowboys‘ receiver missed two games this season after testing positive for COVID-19. In 15 games this season, the three-time Pro Bowler caught 68 of 104 goals for 865 yards and eight touchdowns. His production lagged from the previous two seasons, when he averaged 86 receptions for 1,153 yards and seven touchdowns.

Cooper admitted he was troubled by his lack of goals this season.

‘We are not as explosive as we should be’ cooper said: of the Cowboys’ offense. “We don’t convert a lot of their turnover into touchdowns. A lot of them are field goals. And I feel like I can be a big part of that, so that frustrates me … I think I can do more in the red zone if I get a few targets. I can do more third when I get the targets. To help the attack be what we need to be I think I can definitely help change that.”

Cooper has the chance to make his money back in Sunday’s wildcard playoff game against the 49ers. Players of the winning wildcard team will receive $21,000, while the losing team will earn $19,000.
