DUBUQUE, Iowa (KCRG) – A Dubuque nonprofit that provides English tutoring and citizenship to adult immigrants is temporarily switching to online tutoring exclusively as the number of COVID-19 cases rises.
Presentation Lantern Center announced the move on Tuesday.
“High transfer rates in our community have had a negative, ongoing impact on our staff capacity and number of available educators for months.” said the center in a Facebook post.
The center said it plans to reopen as soon as safely possible, but did not provide criteria for when that could be.
People can set up virtual tutoring by sending an email [email protected] or call (563) 557-7134.
