January 14 (Reuters) – Alphabet Inc’s (GOOGL.O) Google is temporarily requiring weekly COVID-19 testing for anyone entering Google offices or facilities in the United States, the tech giant said Friday.

Anyone entering Google’s U.S. workplaces must pass a negative test and wear surgical-grade masks in the office, the company said.

“To help prevent the further spread of COVID-19 during this time of heightened risk, we are implementing new temporary health and safety measures for everyone accessing our sites in the US,” said a Google spokesperson.
