MADISON, Wisconsin (WBAY) — The Wisconsin Department of Corrections has announced temporary changes to its visitor policy amid mounting COVID-19 cases.
Effective Thursday, January 13, the DOT has temporarily suspended all face-to-face visits and offers video visits only.
Volunteers, contractors and other non-DOC personnel are not allowed access at all. That suspension does not apply to religious volunteers, but they will be required to take a rapid COVID-19 test upon entering the facility.
The DOC will assess the changes at the beginning of February.
