Rep. Jahana Hayes (CT-05) said she has tested positive for COVID-19 for the second time in the course of the pandemic.
The congressman’s office said Hayes did a routine COVID-19 test before traveling. She currently has no symptoms.
The attending physician advised her to go into quarantine.
She initially tested positive for the virus in September 2020. She described her: symptoms and COVID experience to NBC Connecticut.
Hayes is fully vaccinated and has had her booster shot. She continues to encourage everyone to take the necessary precautions to keep the community safe.
