Paul Ferdinand Schilder (Fig. 69.1) was a versatile mind who contributed seminal works in neurology, neuropathology, psychiatry, philosophy, psychoanalysis, and cognitive neuropsychology [ 1 ]. He was born in Vienna on 15 February 1886 into a Jewish family.
